Annual Church Profiles
are here!
Your help in getting this information filled in correctly is important in several ways:
1. Your ACP is an Historical Record. Information submitted can be used in many ways, both for your own church and in your Association. Tracking attendance and giving is helpful to see how you are progressing in your ministry.
2. The ACP allows your church to be listed in the State Convention & SBC Annuals.
3. The IRS checks the convention annuals to prove Tax Exempt Status.
4. Statistics are used to Evaluate Needs or to help churches carry out their tasks. This is particularly helpful here in the Association Office. We are here to help you and your church at the point of your need. The Association is “church driven” which means we work for you. By evaluating the responses on the ACP, we can better see what the needs are for our churches.
5. A Ministers Listing in the Annuals is a great help for friends and former church members to find you! By going to www.sbc.net or sbds.lifeway.com, anyone can search for churches and ministry personnel. This can be helpful when you want to find old friends or even a minister to fill in for you when you are away.
Please see that these are filled these out as completely as possible so your records - and ours - will be accurate. If you’d like, you can enter all the information online at sbds.lifeway.com by using your ID numbers. These numbers are posted at the top of the front page of your ACP form. If you prefer, Carol can enter the information online for you. Either way, PLEASE send a copy to the Association Office by September 27. If you have questions, call Carol in the Association Office at 903-785-2890.
Attention Church Secretaries
All RRVBA Church Secretaries, Treasurers, and o thers who serve in these capacities are invited to come to our monthly luncheon. Whether you work full time, part time, or as a volunteer, you are invited to join us!
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Association Office. Bring a sack lunch and join us for a time of fellowship! Tea & water will be provided.
Currently we are doing a study of the meaning of some common "church" words. The word for September is SANCTIFIED/SANCTIFICATION.
If you have questions, call Carol in the Association Office at 903-785-2890 or email her at redriverbaptist@att.net.
A Note from the Paris Pregnancy Care Center in Paris
If you or someone you know is suffering from the guilt of a past abortion, please consider attending an 11-week Bible Study, "Forgiven and Set Free." It will help you to understand God's forgiveness and help you learn how to forgive those who were involved in helping you to make that choice. Please call 903-249-3159 or 903-784-1555 and ask for Vickie. It is free and confidential. Space is limited.
